How to Make Whipped Butter
After making the whipped butter, you can store it in the fridge for up to two weeks. However, let it sit at room temperature for a while before using it.
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
- Pinch of salt
- 1 to 2 tbsp heavy cream or milk (optional)
- Additional herbs and seasonings of your choice (optional)
Directions:
- Start off by putting the slightly softened butter in a mixing bowl.
- Beat the butter with an electric hand or stand mixer with a whisk attachment. Go for medium-high speed and beat for three to five minutes. You should get a light and fluffy consistency doubled in volume. If you decide to add cream or milk, pour it into the bowl halfway through beating.
- Once you get the desired texture, stop beating and add some salt and other seasonings of choice. Fold them into the mixture gently.
- Transfer the butter to an airtight container and store it in the fridge. You can keep it in there for up to two weeks.
