Additional herb and seasoning ideas include sun-dried tomatoes, chopped dill, parsley, or chives, roasted garlic, citrus zest and juice, or chili flakes, chili paste, or hot sauce.

How to Make Whipped Butter

After making the whipped butter, you can store it in the fridge for up to two weeks. However, let it sit at room temperature for a while before using it.

  1. Start off by putting the slightly softened butter in a mixing bowl.
  2. Beat the butter with an electric hand or stand mixer with a whisk attachment. Go for medium-high speed and beat for three to five minutes. You should get a light and fluffy consistency doubled in volume. If you decide to add cream or milk, pour it into the bowl halfway through beating.
  3. Once you get the desired texture, stop beating and add some salt and other seasonings of choice. Fold them into the mixture gently.
  4. Transfer the butter to an airtight container and store it in the fridge. You can keep it in there for up to two weeks.
