Serena Williams’ Ring

In an interview, he shares details of the kind of cryptocurrency he invested in, which brought him a whopping $50 million.

Ohanian also shared about his first date with Serena Williams. He said she asked him what he did for a living, and he shared about owning a company called Reddit. An Entrepreneur Ahead of His Time

Alexis Ohanian is a tech-savvy entrepreneur who’s definitely ahead of his time. He shared that he first learned about cryptocurrencies in 2014 during a meeting with Coinbase CEOs. Once he found out the value of Ethereum, a cryptocurrency that’s less popular than Bitcoin, he knew he had to invest in it.

So, he quickly invested about $15,000 in purchasing some 50,000 Ethereum coins. Given the cryptocurrency’s price today, his original investment would amount to more than $83 million today. As some might know, Coinbase went public in 2021. Following the event, Serena Williams’ husband used his stock share of $26 million to launch his own company that focuses on blockchain technology.
