Fans Wonder if More NCIS: LA Actors Will Crossover to Other Shows
NCIS: Los Angeles recently concluded its 14-season run, leaving fans uncertain about when they would see the beloved characters again. However, the surprise appearance of Special Agent Sam Hanna, played by LL Cool J, in NCIS: Hawaii just one day after the finale aired has sparked hope among viewers.

It was later announced that LL Cool J would be a recurring guest in the spin-off’s upcoming third season. This development has left fans wondering if there will be more crossovers between the OSP team and the other NCIS series. R. Scott Gemmill, executive producer of NCIS: LA, discussed the possibility of future crossovers. Gemmill expressed that a crossover involving the OSP team is highly likely and mentioned that the recent three-way crossover between the NCIS shows was a significant milestone for the franchise and was glad it happened before NCIS: LA came to an end.
Even if the NCIS: LA characters don’t make appearances in either DC or Honolulu, LL Cool J’s involvement with NCIS: Hawaii opens the door for potential updates about other cast members. In the series finale of NCIS: LA, it was revealed that Kensi and Deeks are expecting a child. As the show won’t be able to depict their journey into parenthood, any updates shared by Special Agent Hanna would be eagerly welcomed by fans.
Other Actors May Follow Suit
Given that Sam was previously on a mission in Morocco with Callen, there is also the possibility of Chris O’Donnell’s character making an appearance in NCIS: Hawaii. However, nothing is confirmed, and there may be delays due to a reported writers’ strike. While fans await further news, LL Cool J shared that he took some mementos from the NCIS: LA set, including Sam’s vest, shirts, and even one of Callen’s shirts, along with some knick-knacks from the boatshed.
The third season of NCIS: Hawaii is set to premiere in 2023. Although the OSP team may not be present in full, the presence of Sam Hanna in NCIS: Hawaii promises an exciting dynamic and leaves fans intrigued about how he will fit into the new series.
